Based on the pioneering contributions of Academician Gleiter to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Lanzhou University decided to award Academician Gleiter an honorary doctorate and hired him as a part-time Academician of Lanzhou University.
To celebrate his receiving an honorary doctorate from Lanzhou University and his appointment by Lanzhou University, Lanzhou University will hold the Gleiter Symposium on Frontiers of Nanoscience to promote the collision of new ideas, the exploration of new problems and the cultivation of new directions in the field of Nanoscience.
